Our Story
Our story began in 2013 when founders Darragh O’Brien and Michael Hegarty, both experienced carpenters, saw a need for a recruitment agency that truly understood the construction industry.
UKR Group was born out of the frustration of being a site manager ordering workers from agencies and their lack of a deeper understanding of construction. Drawing from their first-hand experience in the construction industry, they identified the voids and envisioned a better way forward.
What set UKR apart from the outset was our intimate understanding of the construction industry. Having walked in the shoes of site managers themselves, they knew exactly what clients needed.
Over the past decade, UKR has expanded its reach and diversified its portfolio. We specialize in Construction, Civil Engineering, Rail & Utilities, both in blue and white-collar roles. We’ve grown from a team of two to an established agency trusted by clients like Claridge’s Hotel, Berkeley Hotel, The American Embassy and Battersea Power Station to name a few. Our dedication to honesty, quality, and fostering lasting relationships has been key to our success.
